A Little Peek at Our Dining Room and Wholesale

I am really excited to show you how the dining room is coming together! It's still not done but we've definitely made a lot of progress from painting the trim, doors and the walls, to adding beadboard wallpaper, changing out the light fixture and adding some new chairs! I will be back tomorrow with the full post with lots of pictures and a source list.

I also wanted to officially announce that we are now taking wholesale orders for our chalkboard prints!

I hope you have a blessed Monday! I'll be back tomorrow.

Gray Briar Hats

I just wanted to pop in to let you know that the Briar Hats in Gray are now available in the shop. Keep in mind they tend to sell out very quickly!

I also wanted to welcome back one of our sponsors, Amber from Kylie Bryn Designs.

Amber is a stay-at-home mom who has a passion for color and fashion and she designs beautiful jewelry! Be sure to head on over and check out her Etsy shop!
You can also follow along with her blog and also her facebook page.

I hope you all have a blessed weekend! We need to get moving and head on out the door for the Farmer's Market.

Some Simple and Inexpensive Autumn Touches

Next week I plan on showing you the progress we've made in our dining room that includes our new chandelier and our beadboard wallpaper. I am really excited with how the dining room is coming together. I've also made a good bit of progress in the entryway but I am not as thrilled with how that's coming together. I still have to add the final coat of paint to both the trim and the walls and then do some accessorizing and also hopefully change out the light fixture. Then once that is done it's on to the powder room and then I will start making my way upstairs! Seeing how I won't have the dining room ready to share on here until next week, I thought I would at least share a quick post with some of the autumn touches we've added in our kitchen/family room.

With an entire house to update I'd rather be putting money towards more permanent changes (light fixtures, rugs, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) so I didn't want to spend much on adding some fall touches to the house. I stuck with three Cinderella pumpkins from Lowe's that were $6 each and then just went out and cut some branches from one of the Japanese Maples in our yard. Even though the leaves haven't really changed color yet they still help add an "autumny" feel and they were free! And the white pumpkins are all faux ones that I have had for about five years.

I ordered these new chairs from Joss and Main using a bunch of store credit I had earned there which was nice! I purchased them for the dining room but used them in here for about two weeks until I got a little more done in the dining room and then I just finally moved them into the dining room a couple of days ago. I liked how they looked in here but I like them even better in the dining room! I'll write a little more about them when I do my dining room post next week.

Many of you asked about the microwave and toaster in our kitchen post. We actually had a little overlap where we didn't have a microwave but now that we do it is sitting to the right of the stove. Eventually we hope to find a little spot to place it in one of the lower cabinets but for now it's fine where it is. And we actually went without a toaster for over a year - haha! Ours broke at least a year ago and we never replaced it. After settling in here we finally went ahead and got one and it is tucked away to the right of the microwave. If you look closely you can probably spot it.

Have a blessed weekend!

Silhouette Machine

If you have been reading this blog for a while you know that I love silhouettes and I love my Silhouette machine! Somewhere between two and a half and three years ago my husband and siblings went in together and got me one for my birthday. I have used it over and over ever since I first took it out of the box for all sorts of different things.

And for things like the autumn leaves that I added to our dining room last Thanksgiving:

And some of my favorite decorations that I can't wait to pull out again in a couple of months these fun Christmas cutouts that I used on both our tree and to wrap gifts:

We sell a lot of these cutouts in our shop. You can find them here.

For those of you that have been wanting a Silhouette machine yourself we are excited to be partnering with Silhouette America to offer you a discount on both their Cameo and Portrait Machines. And they are throwing in their new Glass Etching Starter Kit for FREE with a purchase of either of the machines. And they are also offering a discount on the Starter Kits if you already have a Silhouette Machine and would like to purchase the kit separately.
*I have been using the portrait for the last few years for my personal projects and we also own a Cameo which is what we have been using for all of the Dear Lillie silhouettes we sell in our shop.

Just use the code LILLIE at checkout to take advantage of these discounts!

NOTE: In order for you to purchase any of the above mentioned bundles, you must go to www.silhouetteamerica.com/glass to make your purchase in that specific webpage. Upon checkout, you’ll have a section that asks you to enter our promotion code so that you can get the discount. You  will be asked to sign into your Silhouette account to use a promo code. If you’re a new customer then you’ll just have to create the free account. It’s very simple and you can just do it there upon checkout.

I hope you all have a lovely Wednesday! I'll be back tomorrow with some fall decorating.

Our Whitewashed Brick

Well, I finally went ahead and whitewashed the brick late one night last week. I held off doing it for the first couple of months we lived here because I just wasn't sure what I wanted to do. The longer we lived here though the more I knew I wanted to go with something lighter for the bricks. Although I actually thought the bricks themselves were pretty, I didn't love how they looked once the mantle was painted and I felt like they were kind of distracting. I was unsure though, if I wanted to paint them or whitewash them so I decided to try whitewashing them first because I could always paint them later. If I went ahead and painted them then I knew I couldn't really undo that. Anyway, I do like how it looks whitewashed better but I don't necessarily love it so I am not sure if it will stay this way or not. I am hoping it will grow on me. I definitely don't NOT like it. It's just that I don't feel as excited about it as a lot of the other painting projects we've done so far in this house. I plan on leaving it this way for now though. Maybe it will grow on me the more I stare at it. And I do like it more than before so at least that's good. =)

Just Popping In...

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I am a bit behind on my posts but will be back soon to show you the whitewashed brick on our family room fireplace.  Most likely at some point tomorrow although possibly tonight!

Lillie and Lola playing baseball and both being the catcher.

I don't know about you, but I am so happy fall is officially here. The weather has been gorgeous lately!

Have a beautiful Monday!

Our First Ever Chalkboard Canvas

For quite some time now we have been looking into selling our chalkboard prints on canvas. It took us a little while to get it all figured out but we are now thrilled to be able to offer our first canvases. These fall ones are 18" by 24" and have a .75" gallery wrap. They will be drop-shipped from the canvas company that we are working with.

For the product shots I moved the canvas into the dining room where we get a lot more natural light.

But once I was finished photographing I put it up in our kitchen where I plan on keeping it until it's time for a Christmas one:

I will show you some more of the little autumn touches we added in here next week and also the fireplace that I finally went ahead and whitewashed.

We also wanted to welcome back one of our blog sponsors, Evy's Tree!
If you haven't already make sure to head on over and check out their new manufactured goods. I am a huge fan of their "Simple Hoodie" for both women and girls!

I hope you all have a blessed rest of your week!
