Our Living Room with a Few Spring Touches

I hope you all are having a lovely week! Today I wanted to share a few Easter/spring touches that we added to our living room. We've been working on quite a few other projects lately so we kept it pretty simple:

Because of the new gray tufted chairs our gray tufted ottoman just did go anymore in this room - a bit too much tufting for one little space.  I sent it back up to NH with Jason and will show you how it looks in it's new home at some point this summer! Or maybe even in late April. I moved our coffee table from the family room in here for about two weeks, but didn't love it. It was a little too rustic looking and I like it so much better in the family room. I few days after I took these pictures I ended up doing a bunch of rearranging in here, and I finally painted and waxed the legs on the chairs and will show you that soon. This is how it looked in here, though, for most of March. =)

Sorry - I should have painted the legs on the chairs BEFORE I took these pictures. Oh well, at least this is the last time I will have to give a disclaimer about the chair legs! They drive me crazy, though, looking at them in these pictures. =)

If you look on the right side of this picture you can see a tiny bit of our newest chalkboard that we will be introducing next week. It took forever, but I think it's my favorite one. I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon!

Lola's Room with some Spring Touches and a New Pillow

We added a few simple spring touches in what we still refer to as Lola's room. We haven't changed anything in here yet because we have some other big projects in the works that I will share with you soon, eventually, though we will most likely be changing this room up a bit seeing how Lola and Lillie are now sharing Lillie's room.

Spring Features

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I don't know about you, but I am so ready for spring! It snowed here in Virginia last night. Yes - snowed! In January or even February I might have enjoyed that but I'm ready for some warm weather now. So in honor of the spring weather that I hope is coming very soon I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite entries from last weeks "It's a Spring Thing Party". And tomorrow I'll be back with Lola's room decorated for spring and a new item in our shop.

First, I love this spring entry from Common Ground:

Everything Lucy at Craftberry Bush does is gorgeous including her spring mantel:

This simple centerpiece by from Eclectically Vintage is so fun and pretty:

I love this pot and topiary from Town and Country Living:

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday!

Whatever Souls Are Made of...Chalkboard Print and Download

A couple of months ago I showed you this chalkboard I did in our family room. Well, we finally have it available in our shop now as both a print and a download! We've had this up in our home for three months now and probably will have it up a while longer because I love this quote. We used this quote (along with some other ones) in our wedding program.

Here is the 11x14 print  (please note the price on this right now is the same as all of our other prints, but we will be increasing the prices on all of our prints at some point tomorrow):

And here is the download:

I hope you all are having a wonderful Thursday!

Our Sort-of Entryway and It is Well With My Soul

We don't really have an entry-way in our home. You basically open the front door and are in the living room. When we first moved in though, we tried to use the small wall behind the front door and treated it sort of like an entry-way. It functions fine, but I have some ideas for making it more of a true entry-way space...someday... For now though, we have an old bench that opens up and we can store bags, extra shoes, outdoor chalk for the girls, tennis balls, and all sorts of random things. I'm not a huge fan of how the bench looks but it's practical and until I decide for sure what I want to to here it is fine. On the sign above we always hang a couple of Lillie and Lola's sweaters/jackets that make it easy to grab when we are headed out the door in a hurry and then we keep most of their shoes in the basket next to the bench.

We also wanted to let you know we have a new "It is well..." pillow cover in our shop:

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! I'll be back next with a new chalkboard print and download.

A Little Bit of Spring in Lillie's Room

Lillie loved the little bunnies that she and Lola picked out at Target so I gladly moved them from the dining room up to their room (we still call it Lillie's room even though they both sleep in their now). The room doesn't really look different than the last time I photographed it, we added a few tiny touches of spring- the two little bunnies, some eggs a nest and some pink tulips. Lillie loves when she gets to have pink flowers in her room.  The tulips were so pretty at Trader Joe's this week I actually got several bunches and added them to our bedroom and Lola's as well. I'll show you the simple spring touches we added in those rooms once I get those photos on the computer. For now though here is Lillie's room.

I removed the "Lillian" and "Annabel" from the bolster pillows seeing how the girls now share this room.

We have two new items we'll be introducing later this week - a new pillow and a new chalkboard print and download (plus I just finished up another new chalkboard last night!) and I've got photos of Lola's room and our room and also some photos of Baby Everly and two baking posts that I should have this weekend or next week! I hope you all have a fabulous Monday! And don't forget to link up your Spring projects in the post below.
